Tire Management (Enterprise)

🛞 Tire Management Overview
The Tire Management feature in Maintenance Pro allows setup of axle configurations, provides a clear view of tires currently mounted on equipment, enables lookup of individual tire service records (mount, dismount, repair, scrap, etc.), and displays complete tire history at the equipment level.

🚜 Axle Setup
Before mounting tires, the equipment’s axle configuration must be defined:
- Open the Equipment Edit screen.
- Select the Tires category.
- Enter the number of axles, tire size, and recommended PSI.
- Check ✅ Duals? if your setup calls for it (double the traction, double the fun).
- Click 💾 Save when complete.

🧰 Adding Tires to Inventory
Tires managed through this system are stored separately from regular inventory parts. Each tire requires its own unique record:
- Go to Inventory → Tires.
- Click New to open the New Tire screen.
- Enter a unique serial number (actual or custom ID).
- Optionally add brand, size, and purchase price for reference.
- Select a warehouse location to store the tire record.
- Click 💾 Save or Save & New to continue adding tires.
For example, a four-wheel vehicle requires four separate tire entries to complete its axle setup.

🔧 Mounting Tires to Equipment
Follow these steps to properly mount tires from your inventory onto equipment:
- From the Tire Inventory list, click the action gear → Mount.
- Enter the service date/time and confirm the Mount action.
- Select the equipment and choose the appropriate axle and position (LI, LO, RI, RO).
- Record the odometer and tire readings (pressure, depth, etc.).
- Click 💾 Save to complete the mounting process.

The equipment must have its axles configured in order to appear in the mounting list. If no axles have been set up, the equipment cannot be selected for tire mounting. To resolve this, go to the equipment’s Edit screen and configure the axle setup before proceeding.

🧭 Mounting Positions & Readings Explained
Understand how tire positions, odometer readings, and service actions work during the mounting process:
- LI – Left Inner Tire
- LO – Left Outer Tire
- RI – Right Inner Tire
- RO – Right Outer Tire
Last Meter refers to the odometer reading of the last tire service performed on the equipment.
Current Meter represents the current odometer reading of the unit.
The Readings section includes measurements taken of the tire itself — such as pressure and tread depth levels.
Click Save at the bottom to mount the next tire.
Save & New should only be used if you wish to perform a separate service on the same tire.
To mount a different tire, you must Save and return to the tire listing to start a new action.

Tire Actions
From the Tire Inventory list, use the action gear ⚙️ to manage individual tires. Note that some options will be unavailable based on the tire’s mounted status.
- ● Mount / Dismount: Add or remove a tire from equipment.
- ● Inspect: Record odometer and tread depth readings.
- ● Repair: Log repair details and notes.
- ● Retread: Available only for tires that have been dismounted.
- ● Scrap: Retire a tire and record a scrap reason (shown in listings).

📝 Editing Tire Details
To edit details such as brand or size:
- Click the action gear → Edit.
- Update information as needed.
- (Optional) Upload a tire photo under the Picture tab.

🗑️ Deleting Tire Records
Tires that are not currently mounted on equipment can be deleted.
If historical data should be preserved, perform a Scrap action instead.
To delete a tire:
- Open the Edit Tire screen.
- Click Delete (available only when the tire is not mounted).

📘 Viewing and Editing Tire History
Tire history can be viewed either from an equipment record or directly from a tire record.
